AARON FRIESEN – JEDIDIAH HOUSE YOUTH WORKER

Aaron grew up in the small city of sunshine, Dauphin, MB. Although he has travelled to pretty much every city in canada and the United states playing music, he and his wife Kelli call these flat lands home.  They have always enjoyed working with and being around young people because of their energy, perspective and crazy antics. God recently put it on their heart to get back into working directly with teens and they feel very blessed to be a part of Regina Youth for Christ to show these kids Gods love.

Aaron loves spending time with my wife Kelli and daughter Luca, as well as playing and listening to music and bbq’ing.

PATRICK NIKULAK – JEDIDIAH HOUSE YOUTH WORKER

Patrick Nikulak was born at a young age 20 years ago in the Queen City. Since then he has spent most of his life gaining wisdom and being self-described as a “Jack of all trades, master of none.” Known for being both an optimist and a pessimist at the same time (literally!), Patrick has a passion for all youth to see who they are in Christ and know that none are beyond hope.

Patrick came on with YFC in late 2010 to work alongside the Jedidiah House and to help develop and grow the Disorganized Sports program. Currently a fulltime Education student at the University of Regina, his interests include learning anything applied, tinkering with any form of electronics, long walks (not on the beach though), and most recently
learning new languages.

VAVE MELEISEA – UTURN YOUTH WORKER

Vave James Meleisea was born in Auckland New Zealand of Samoan descent. Vave lived in Australia since he was nine years old. He has been working with RYFC since January 2010.  Vave is involved with the Regina Uturn House, Jedidiah House & now also at the new Uturn in Moose Jaw, as a Youth Worker. “Working with the youth is a challenge and a calling.  With the dramatic situations they come with while under our care, changes are happening by the grace of God and in His timing. Growth & change is happening within all areas of their lives – believing and trusting in themselves, and being confident in who they are. It has been rewarding in every way for their well being.  It is an honour & privilege to love and care for them, and watch God work on and in them.  All praise to God!!”
Vave attended Hillsong International Leadership College in Sydney Australia graduating with a Diploma in Pastoral Counselling. Prior to working with RYFC Vave worked 13 years with the State Government, with the Roads & Traffic Authority as a Toll Plaza Officer on the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Vave left Sydney in March 2008 travelling the world in obedience to God, with very little money and trusted in God’s provision for his trip.  Since he left, Vave has been to six Continents, 37 countries, 31 states of the U.S of A, been to six of the 10 provinces of Canada, & has visited to over 3000 cities worldwide & been on 183 planes to date!
He relates his story to the one of Moses & the Red Sea, with Moses’ staff (rod) God parted the waters. With Vave God said with what little money he had in his hands ($130), God was going to open up this world to him, & to this day God has kept His Word!
Vave obviously loves to travel as one can see and as long as the Lord wants him when He wants him and can use him for His calling, Vave is sure to trust and obey. One of Vave’s dreams is to travel to every country in the world while in obedience to where God has him, God is unfolding the desires of Vave’s heart!
