New Build: The mayor of Regina, Pat Fiacco mentioned Regina Youth for Christ Uturn home in his state of the city address yesterday as one of the positive youth programs in the city.
Delayed Again! With no power yet we will have to delay our possession to April 2012!
Moose Jaw: We are still looking to add people to our steering committee in Moose Jaw. Please pray. We continue to have a full house in MJ continue to pray for our team as they move these youth to independent.
Regina: As you work with Kids at risk we have many celebrations and challenges on a daily basis. This weekend we have to evict a young man who continued to push our grace, so after the second chance he was sent home. We also added 2 new youth this week who seem to be fitting in nicely.
Jedidiah House: A home for youth 12-16 in the communities of Regina and The Battlefords.
Regina: We are hosting 3 young men at Jed house. Please pray as we look for a new house mom starting in March 2012.
The Battlefords: This week our steering committee in Battleford met to discuss how to support the Jedidiah home and the staff better. Henry, our first nation staff who was assaulted last month continues be a great asset to the team. Henry told a steering committee member how much his heart has grown for the young man who assaulted him! God is at work.
COMMUNITY PROGRAMS:
Community Center: We are looking at a Regina church in the city that is for sale we could turn into a ministry/community center. The vision for the building would be a home for the Lamb’s Boxing club, a worship center, community hall/gym and office space. The board has given permission to pursue some options. Please pray for wisdom.
Lamb’s Boxing Club: Aaron found a used boxing ring for the club. Please pray for him as he travels to pick it up. This will be a huge help in training our youth to box.
The Match: On February 24, 2012. We are working with Aline ministries and Souls Harbour to do a youth outreach. Lamb’s Boxing will be hosting the event.
Lamb’s Drop-In:
Mondays are sports drop in- we had over 30 youth involved on Monday.
Wednesdays we will be teaching the “Hero’s Program”.

SCHOOL PROGRAMS:
Switchback- discipleship Community: This month Jimmy and his team are challenging youth in the areas of relationships. If you are interested in getting involved contact Jimmy at jimmyschimmel@hotmail.com
Dimension4- D4 is our noon hour school program to discuss life issues around faith and build mentor relationships with youth. Currently we are meeting at Thom High school on a weekly basis. Please pray for our team as we connect with youth in need of positive mentors in their lives.
Gymblast: Jimmy was sick yesterday. That gave me a chance to lead a GB. It was great to watch the kids at Harvest City Academy work together, and build team work. Today Jimmy is travelling to Ituna Sk for a GB.
California Breakaway: Continue to pray for our Saskatoon YFC team as they prepare. They are hoping take over 100 youth to California from April 5-15, 2012.
Careers/ Volunteer Positions:
Regina Houseparents: We are looking for 2-3 sets of house parents to bring love and support to young men and women in our Uturn homes starting April 1, 2012. We are looking for spiritually mature couples (without children in the home) to be full-time House Parents and 2 couples to provide weekend respite. Training is provided.
